Patrick-Bamford-Daniel-Farke-Leeds-United

A January transfer development at Sunderland may determine Patrick Bamford’s future at Leeds United.

Wrexham is interested in finalizing a deal with the one-cap England international, who has been linked to a transfer away from Elland Road this winter [Ben Jacobs].

A move elsewhere could make sense because the 31-year-old hasn’t played much in the Championship this season, but the Whites’ roster would be thin without him.

Daniel Farke tried to find attacking reinforcements in January, but it appears that this would not work out, which could help Bamford’s future in Yorkshire.

The future of Patrick Bamford at Leeds United is preserved.
Following Unai Emery’s recall of Louie Barry from his loan at Stockport County, the German has expressed interest in recruiting Barry on loan from Aston Villa.

Numerous Championship teams are reportedly interested in signing the 21-year-old, who is expected to return immediately on a temporary basis.

The versatile forward now looks set to have made up his mind on his future with Sunderland set to land the ex-Barcelona youngster ahead of Leeds [TEAMtalk].

Given the potential offensive impact the Villa ace could have had at Elland Road, this will be a setback for the Whites.

Bamford will probably have to remain at Elland Road now that this trade appears to be off the table, which would be advantageous for him at this point in his career.

After seven years in LS11, the 31-year-old former Chelsea player will feel at ease and not be in a rush to leave in January.
