The St. Louis Blues have locked down one of their franchise cornerstones, officially announcing a 4-year contract extension with forward Robert Thomas worth a staggering $53,000,000. The deal covers the 2025–2029 seasons, solidifying Thomas’s future with the team.

This new extension keeps Thomas among the highest-paid centers in the league and reflects the organization’s full commitment to building around the 26-year-old playmaker, who has become a fan favorite and a consistent offensive threat since his NHL debut.

Thomas, originally drafted 20th overall in 2017, has steadily developed into a core leader for the Blues. In the 2024–25 season, he posted career-best numbers in assists and points, helping push St. Louis into playoff contention.

> “Robert has earned every bit of this extension. He’s one of the smartest players on the ice, a leader in the locker room, and the kind of player every team wants to build around.”

The massive signing bonus suggests the Blues are front-loading the deal, potentially giving them cap flexibility in the later years. With this deal, St. Louis signals it’s ready to stay competitive in the Central Division and chase another Stanley Cup.

Thomas’s new contract kicks in after his current deal expires at the end of the 2024–25 season.

Stay tuned for more updates, analysis, and cap breakdowns as this major extensionreshapes the Blues’ future.
